Chickens, Rabbits, and Pugs

March 26, 2018 by Rogue Rhino

Our host in Zimbabwe lives on a farm. He has lots and lots of property, he is even considering building a hospital. He used to have five zebras, but they were stolen a few years ago. Today we explored the property while waiting for our flight to Bumi Hills. On our walk, we found lots of beautiful flowers. The flowers were so beautiful that I picked a few for family and friends. I am drying them out and pressing them in my book for safe keeping.

We went on a long walk through tall grass. Did I mention that lions like tall grass and are native to this area? On our walk we saw chickens, rabbits, and 2 pugs; we also saw a few humans, none of which were overly aggressive.

Double Header in Harare

March 25, 2018 by Rogue Rhino

We celebrated Palm Sunday with our friends in Harare, Zimbabwe. Morning and afternoon services were held, with about 2,000 people in attendance for each service. The music was awesome and many young people were involved. The songs were in Shona and other languages. Zimbabwe has 16 official languages! Grandpa preached the morning service and Dad preached the afternoon service. Between services, we ate lunch in downtown Harare. The streets were busy with people selling fruit and other things in traffic. Everyone has been very nice to me.
